This is a great side table of sorts that my mom found at Goodwill for me. It just needed a little love.

Before & After: Bed Side Table
Has is really been so long since I have blogged? Wow! Sorry for the poor quality of these first couple of pictures...I guess I was so excited to paint that I didn't check to see that the picture actually came out!
The Before of a charming little side table my mom was nice enough to give me:

I forgot the Before, but here is the After: Framed Mirror
I love Annie Sloan's Duck Egg Blue paint. It is my favorite...I just finished a mirror and I really love it. I forgot to take a before but I have a during, with my two helpers....
These are my painting shorts. They show some of my favorite paint colors!

Before & After: Vintage Shabby Chic Side Table
Ahhhh....My creative juices are flowing and I am so glad I am painting again. My mom, who obviously loves me very much , found these beauties. She was at Goodwill, she bought them, and then immediately brought them my house. I immediately painted them, and was happy. Painting and distressing is so therapeutic!
Before:
Seeing this reminds me just how brown our living room is. The plans to change that are already in the works.
During:
Our table that is going to be painted is in the background...Sorry for the weird angle on this one.
After:
I love this little darling side table to pieces... {sigh}
Excuse the crooked lamp shade. I was too focused in on the throw back vibes of the side table and didn't even notice!
I brought it out in to the sunlight to show the true color.
I am going to have to name this Darling #1 and I am selling it for $45....I am still working on Darling #2. More on that later. Back to painting...

I heart Craigslist!
I am amazed at the response I have gotten already from listing my furniture on Craigslist. The table and chairs (otherwise known as my beloved...) are going to be picked up next week from a sweet young couple buying their first home. My creation is a memory in the making for them!!! Exciting! My side table is going to be looked at tomorrow by a lady that is really excited about it and if she doesn't buy it there is another lady that wants it!!! I got an email about the desk but her hubby has to okay it so not sure how that one will go...But I am so excited that people love my stuff as much as me!!!! Back to painting...I have a bench that I got off the side of the road that is a gem...That is next to go on Craigslist...and of course here!

I am trying out Craigslist...
I have decided it is time to get back into selling my creations and I am giving Craigslist a try...But if you are here and you are interested contact me!
I am so in the mood to paint..but I am in the middle of simplifying our home. In other words we have too much stuff and I am trying to get rid of some of it!! I have several pieces of furniture that I haven't really tried to sell since the fall (moving 2 times in 4 months makes you not want to do things like that). We are settled (kind of...besides all the stuff I am weeding out!) and I am ready to sell a few pieces to make room for new ones to paint! Here are a the items I am selling:
My beloved table and chairs. I am in love with this set.
So much so, that when I didn't sell it last fall, I put it in our house and having been using it ever since. I am glad I had the opportunity to use it.
It was the first table I had painted and distressed and I wanted to see how well it would hold up with the wax finish I gave it. It has held up brilliantly! No stains from glasses or grease or anything.
I am only selling it because we have another table and chairs, that Jake claims too many memories are attached to it, to sell it.
And I get to paint and distress that old table. I am ready to settle back into painting and our old memory making table is my next project.:)
I am selling the table and 4 chairs for $250.
The next piece I am selling is this sweet side table. I love the color and the curves on the side. Another piece I am sorry to see go, but I am sure someone will love it as much as I do! I am selling it for $35.
I have no good pictures of the next piece...Sorry for that, but I think you can get the feel of this old school desk..
Here it is at a craft show...This picture is a little better. It is a fun little red desk and the distressed color underneath is grey. I am selling it for $30. I am actually selling the chalk board in front of it too. It is $12.
I have a lot of frames, chalk boards and some other fun stuff if you are interested! Leave a comment if you are interested and I will get in touch!

I am still here...
After a few months of not painting because of moving twice...(yes we have moved twice since my
last post. Long story...)..I painted. A tray. Just a tray. And it was AMAZING to be painting again. I know that sounds crazy but a little tray made me so happy. I am getting back into my love of distressing. I found a bench on the side of the road that is going to be an amazing transformation. I am going to paint it yellow...and my desk is going to be yellow...I am so excited to get back to painting!
